Add 60ml Wray & Nephew White Rum, 30ml fresh lime juice, and 30ml sugar syrup. Fill the glass with crushed ice and stir well. Top it off with soda water. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a few blueberries.

9. Bluebird Sky Sour

We adore a frothy sour cocktail, and the Bluebird Sky Sour is a completely delightful example of this time-honoured drink staple. The blueberry honey syrup adds a touch of sweetness to this whiskey cocktail.  

To make the syrup, combine in a small saucepan over medium heat: 240ml water, 120ml honey, 160ml sugar, and a punnet of blueberries. Muddle the blueberries, stir until the sugar dissolves, then let cool and strain into an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator. 

For the cocktail, shake with ice in a shaker: 60ml whiskey, 20ml blueberry honey syrup, and 15ml fresh lemon juice. Strain into a glass over fresh ice, and garnish with fresh blueberries. 

10. Blueberry Sangria

For a refreshing blueberry drink to serve a crowd, go with Blueberry Sangria. In a large pitcher, combine 1 bottle of red wine (such as Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon), 1 cup SKYY Blueberry Vodka, 0.5 cup blueberry syrup, 1 cup blueberries, and slices of 1 orange and 1 lemon. Gently stir to mix the ingredients. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight to let the flavours blend.  

When ready to serve, add ice cubes to individual glasses and pour the Blueberry Sangria, including the fruit, into each glass. Optionally, top off with 2 cups of ginger ale or lemon-lime soda for fizz. 

11. Blueberry Colada

If a creamy Piña Colada ticks all your must-have DIY cocktail boxes, it’s time to make the Blueberry Colada, bestie! Add 60ml Wray & Nephew White Rum, 30ml blueberry syrup or blueberry liqueur, 60ml coconut cream, 60ml pineapple juice, and 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries to a blender. Add a handful of ice cubes and blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust the consistency by adding more pineapple juice or a splash of water, if desired. Pour the Blueberry Colada into a glass and garnish with fresh blueberries and a pineapple wedge. 

12. Blueberry Martini

Add 60ml SKYY Vodka, 30ml blueberry liqueur or syrup, 15ml orange liqueur, 15ml fresh lemon juice, and 15ml simple syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds to thoroughly mix and chill the ingredients. Strain the martini into a chilled glass. You can modify the amount of simple syrup or lemon juice to suit your taste.

13. Blueberry Old Fashioned Cocktail

The Old Fashioned is a slow sipper that never seems to go out of style, and the Blueberry Old Fashioned is a completely amazing riff on the classic.  Muddle a few fresh blueberries with 15ml blueberry syrup in an old-fashioned glass. Add ice cubes and pour 60ml Wild Turkey 101 Bourbon or whiskey over the ice. Include 2 dashes of bitters. Gently stir to blend the flavours. 14. Blueberry Gin Fizz

This gin-based delight is the ultimate languid patio drink. Combine 60ml Bulldog Gin, 30ml blueberry syrup or liqueur, and 15ml fresh lemon juice. 15. American Collins

The Tom Collins is one of those breezy cocktails that always goes down a treat. The American Collins follows a similar recipe but adds some red cherries and blueberries to the mix, which is a nod to the red, white, and blue of the American flag.  

In a Collins glass, muddle together 8 blueberries, 4 pitted cherries, 30ml simple syrup, and 15ml lemon juice. Add 45ml Bulldog Gin to the glass and fill it with ice. Give it a brief stir. Top off the drink with 120ml of soda water, adjusting the amount to your preference. Garnish with a lemon wheel and enjoy! 

16. Purple Viking

In a highball glass filled with ice, pour 30ml whiskey, 30ml blue curaçao liqueur, 30ml blueberry liqueur, 30ml sloe gin, a splash of lime juice, and a splash of sour mix. Stir the ingredients well to mix them together. Top the cocktail with a splash of lemon-lime soda.
