Ever heard of Apple Cider Floats? If you haven’t, and you’ve never tried one, you’re in for a treat! Made with warm, spiced apple cider and topped with vanilla ice cream, this is the ideal non-alcoholic dessert drink to enjoy before tucking into that slice of pumpkin pie. Comforting, delicious, and perfect for the holiday season.

QUICK TIPS

Turn this into a spiked Apple Cider Float by adding 60 ml whiskey or spiced rum to the apple cider. Yum!

Brush apple slices with lemon to prevent them from browning.

Go ahead and swap out the vanilla ice cream for something more adventurous, like caramel, cinnamon, or apple pie flavour 

INGREDIENTS

Apple cider
Caramel sauce
Cinnamon sugar

Scoop good quality vanilla ice cream
Whipped cream, apple slices and cinnamon stick to garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

Warm the apple cider in a small saucepan over a medium heat

Spoon some cinnamon sugar into a shallow plate

Pour some caramel sauce into another shallow plate

Dip the rim of heat-proof, clear glass mug into the caramel sauce

Then dip it into the cinnamon sugar to coat the rim of the glass

Ladle the warmed cider into the mugs

Top with a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream

Dollop whipped cream over the top

Garnish with a drizzle of caramel sauce, sliced apples and a cinnamon stick
