Peppermint Martini with Peppermint candy rim

Kickstart the holiday season with the lush and velvety Peppermint Martini, a dessert-in-a-glass that will be the cherry on top of your holiday menu. Creamy and minty fresh, this cocktail is great to sip with appetizers, desserts, or anything really!

Follow the recipe and make a perfect Peppermint Vodka Martini in just 5 minutes!

QUICK TIPS

01

You can find different types of peppermint schnapps at the store, ranging from 30 proof (15% ABV) to 100 proof (50% ABV). As you can guess, 100 proof is really strong, so if you choose this one, skip the quantities in the recipe and add peppermint schnapps to taste.

02

f you can’t find peppermint schnapps, white crème de menthe is a great substitute, with a more balanced mint flavor. Make sure you don’t get green crème the menthe, or you’ll be making a Grasshopper!

03

Make this cocktail vegan by swapping heavy cream with full-fat coconut milk. Your drink will have a slight coconut flavor, but not too overpowering.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Making peppermint candy or candy cane stick to your rim can be done in different ways. The simplest is to wet the rim with grenadine or water, then roll the rim on the crushed candy until coated. If you’re looking for a stronger “glue”, try dipping your rim into honey, marshmallow cream or sugar water.

Although spearmint is the most commonly used type of mint for cocktails, peppermint is great for cocktails using stronger spirits due to its intense flavor.
