This Generation Alpha baby was first poured in 2015, making it one of the newest Negronis on the cocktail block. It was created by Zachary Gelnaw-Rubin during his stint at Attaboy in New York City. While it features the usual suspects of Campari and gin, it showcases a smidge less vermouth than usual.

The twist to Dear Jane lies in the addition of elderflower liqueur, aka bartender’s ketchup (because it’s good in anything). This small change has a big effect, infusing the cocktail with floral and fruity flavours reminiscent of citrus, peach, and pear, along with tropical nuances. It’s a subtle yet brilliant riff on the classic recipe and once again shows the versatility of the mighty Negroni.
